Who Fears to Speak is a photographic exhibition by Clodagh O’Leary opening at Eden Place Arts Centre in Derry.
During a transformative period in Irish history Who Fears to Speak is a project which hones in on the experience of the young people from the republican stronghold areas of The Bogside and Creggan, Derry, exploring how ideas of republicanism shape their lives and identity. The project looks closely at two specific traditions, Easter Rising commemoration and the internment bonfires, alongside the landscape of the areas.
The exhibition will launch on Friday January 31 at 6pm with an introduction by writer Caelainn Hogan at 6pm.
The exhibition will be available to view on Saturday February 1, 12noon-5pm and Monday February 3 to Thursday February 6 10am-8pm and Friday February 7 from 10am-2pm.
