Th Ulster Senior Championship continues this weekend with Derry facing Antrim in the first round proper for 2026.

Many people expect Derry to go all the way in the Ulster Championship as they’ve been drawn on the more favourable side of the contest. However, Antrim supporters hope there could be a bump in Derry’s road to winning. Oakleaf manager, Ciaran Meenagh is hoping to add another Ulster title to his side’s name.

Antrim could be a tricky test for the Oak Leafers and could cause an upset as they did in the early 2000s when they beat Down in an enthralling game and put 18 years of pain behind them. This is the first time both teams have faced each other in the Ulster Championship since 2007.

Celtic Park is the venue for this big game and a large turn-out is expected with Antrim fans travelling in numbers.

However, the big question on everyone’s lips ahead of this game is whether or not Derry can rival neighbours Donegal for the Ulster Championship Crown.  Live coverage of the game starts on BBC 2 at 4:40pm.
