Vaping has become a massive trend among young people in recent years. Initially embraced as a healthy alternative to smoking, there has been greater concern in recent years about its negative impact on health. In particular, there are concerns surrounding the ease of access young people have to vapes. Although the issue is felt at a nationally, the impact is keenly at a local level. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of myths and misunderstandings about the health repercussions of vapes. Are authorities doing enough to protect young people? And are advertisers targeting young people? The consequences could prove to be significant in the future, as more and more young people experience health problems.
