Plans are being made today for the launch of a Halloween programme in Strabane This is part of a wider range of Halloween celebrations also taking place in Derry and Donegal.
Graham Warke, Mayor of Derry City and Strabance District (DCDS) said that he was ”Delighted to see the return of the festivities following last year’s lockdown.”
The Mayor felt that it is important that “Working closely with the local businesses and community groups to make sure that this year’s events are delivered safely and responsibly. Outdoor highlights including the return of the hugely popular Hay Sculpture, pick your own pumpkin patches and the scarecrowtrail.”
Jacqueline Whoriskey, Festival and Events Manager said that ” there was much to look forward to. there will be plenty of activities for people of all ages to enjoy.”
The programme will last for three days and people are encouraged to visit all the locations in Derry, Strabane and Donegal.
The annual fireworks display will be the highlight of the overal programme.
The fun begins on Friday October 29 with the firework display on Sunday October 31.
