One of Ireland’s top comedy groups Foil, Arms and Hog are coming to the Millennium Forum on January 31- February 1.
The show, Swines, was called ‘Quite simply, a sensation,’ by Edinburgh Festivals Magazine.
The Millennium Forum’s website describes it as: “An hour of scripted nonsense, twisted characters, music and unintentional improvisation.”
The group has over 60 million views on Youtube and had the best reviewed show at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Chortle.co.uk said it was: ‘’An effervescent hour of fast-paced gags, fizzing with energy, invention and great lines.”
The Irish trio is made up of Sean Finegan, Sean Flanagan and Conor McKenna. They have toured around the world in places like the US, the Netherlands and Australia.
The group formed while they were studying in University College Dublin. While the name comes from the combined nicknames the members called each other.
Sean Finegan was the comedy foil. Conor McKenna was ‘All arms and legs’ and got the name Arms. Sean Flanagan because he ostensibly hogged the limelight and became known as Hog.
Their Youtube channel was started in October 2008 and has grown and grown since then. They even received a silver Youtube Creator Award in 2017 for hitting 100k subscribers.
One of their most popular videos ‘An Englishman Plays Risk’ has achieved over three million views on Youtube.
They have 358k subscribers on Youtube and have amassed a large following on social media. They have 103k followers on Instagram, 949k followers on Facebook and 30k followers on Twitter.
